Biography

Mr. Llarena is the firm’s co-founding principal, managing partner of the Sacramento Office and has been practicing law since 2002 and workers’ compensation defense since 2004.  He maintains a full case load specializing in the litigation of workers’ compensation defense representing insurance carriers, third party administrators and self-insured employers with legal representation throughout the state of California while co-managing the law firm in Sacramento, California.

Mr. Llarena represents employers and insurance carriers in the defense of workers’ compensation claims, claimed violations of L.C. section 132(a), and Serious & Willful Misconduct claims and keeping the client satisfied is top priority.

 

Mr. Llarena graduated from California State University Sacramento with a degree in biology, magna cum laude.  During his undergraduate years, Mr. Llarena served as an adjunct professor for inorganic chemistry and performed medical research with the University of Texas, Houston Medical School.  He worked as an operating room technician for nine years and as a laboratory technician for three years.  He gained invaluable medical experience and applies his medical background litigating workers’ compensation cases.  Mr. Llarena obtained his Juris Doctor from McGeorge SOL University of the Pacific, California. 

 

Mr. Llarena served seven years with the United States Army and the California Army National Guard.  He is a native Spanish speaker.
