Biography

In his capacity as Vice President of Risk Management for Coastal Construction Group, Brandon manages all facets of Coastal’s risk management and insurance programs, including Subcontractor Default Insurance, Wrap-Ups, Claims, and a Captive insurance company. In addition to working to assure broad and cost-effective insurance protection across all operations and on a project-by-project basis, Brandon also oversees Subcontractor Prequalification as well as Loss Prevention and leads efforts to make Risk Management a Profit Center for Coastal.
 
Prior to joining Coastal, Brandon was a founding partner of Beane & Bennett Construction Risk Specialists (BBCRS). BBCRS was a full-service retail insurance brokerage formed to partner exclusively with the construction community for industry specific risk management needs.
 
Before starting BBCRS, Brandon was an executive with Aon Construction Services Group, overseeing construction insurance services for the Southeast. His clients included many large Contractors and Developers.
 
Earlier in his career, Brandon was part of the Risk Management team for Centex Construction Group. For Centex, Brandon oversaw and supervised CCIPs as well as other insurance programs.
Brandon began his career in Boston, working for Marsh, as a Wrap-Up administrator.
 
Brandon’s clientele has included large regional & national General Contractors, major public entities, and both local & international Developers. Brandon has extensive experience in a variety of major construction markets, including the Northeast, the Midwest, and predominantly, the Southeast.
 
Brandon is on the Board of Directors of the South Florida AGC and heads the SFAGC Risk Management Committee. He speaks frequently at local and national events such as the ENR Risk Summit, The AGC Risk & Surety Meetings, IRMI, and the AGC National Conference.
