Biography

Mark Savel is a licensed architect in the state of California (1979) and Nevada (1991).  He is the founding principal of Mark H. Savel Architects, Inc. an architectural firm established in 2004. Mr. Savel graduated from Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI/Arc) with a Bachelor of Architecture, in 1978. Mark H. Savel Architects, Inc. was established to provide architectural design services to business, institutions, government, community associations, and homeowners. The services offered by the Firm include architectural design, architectural programming, interior architecture, adaptive re-use, development planning, master planning, construction phase administration, earthquake damage assessment/retrofitting, post-litigation redesign, building performance evaluation, construction claim/delay analysis, and post-construction evaluation. Mr. Savel also serves as an expert witness and provides litigation support (forensic services) on the subjects of Architects Standard of Care, Building Performance, and Construction. Mr. Savel is an active member of many Business and Professional organizations, including Southern California Real Estate Alliance (SCREA), American Institute of Architects (A.I.A.), the Building Performance and Regulations Committee, Los Angeles Chapter AIA|LA Los Angeles Department of Building & Safety Code Interpretation Group.
