Biography
Dan joined Intact Insurance (formerly OneBeacon) in January 2016 as a Claims Attorney, where he handled claims for several of Intact's specialty lines, including Technology, Environmental, Financial Services, Entertainment, Programs, and Professional Liability. In October of 2017, he joined Intact's in-house Claims Legal team, where he currently serves as Senior Coverage Counsel. In that capacity, Dan provides legal coverage analysis for all of Intact's business lines and oversees coverage litigation against the Company which alleges bad-faith or seeks extra-contractual damages.
Before joining Intact, Dan spent 11 years as an Associate and then Partner at the Meagher & Geer law firm in Minneapolis, where his practice focused on insurance coverage litigation, as well as products liability and professional liability defense.
Dan received his J.D. in 2004 from the Washington & Lee University School of Law, and his B.A. in 2000 from the University of Virginia.
