David Bunnell

Biography

Dave provides a wide range of Risk Management Services to Aon’s clients from hazard assessments and site visits to training and consulting.  He is responsible for reviewing Health & Safety Programs, assisting clients in developing new programs, training employees, and enhancing our client’s accident prevention programs. Dave has over 20 years of construction industry experience throughout the country, with a focus on project supervision and safety management. Dave managed the Health and Safety of an 18 story R&D Laboratory, 24 story mixed-use Residential Project , 35 story Mixed use Residential building, 28 story Hotel and two 8-story residential towers with below grade parking garage.   He conducted site safety orientations, inspections, conducted job safety analyses, while developing and implementing a Risk Assessment Program and training curriculum for field supervision; he executed a Behavioral Safety Program from inception to integration; implemented a daily pre-task planning program; and was the onsite safety coordination administrator of an Owner Controlled Insurance Program. Dave has managed contractors on various projects at a major airport; reviewed and approved safety plans and job hazard analyses; conducted daily safety inspections; worked with the administrator on the airport’s Owner Controlled Insurance Program; worked closely with engineers on pre-planning major phases of construction; and assisted in the design and implementation of public safety procedures. As an Environmental Health and Safety Consultant, Dave was the Onsite Safety and Health Officer for bridge rehabilitation projects, building demolition projects and hazardous waste sites.  He conducted indoor air quality surveys; co-wrote health and safety program with resident CIH and had responsibility to monitor asbestos and lead abatement work.  Dave has conducted "Toolbox" safety meetings; conducted job site audits; performed job hazard analyses; and has conducted noise and vibration surveys. Dave’s body of experience brings a strong discipline of safety and hands on experience to our client’s projects. He is uniquely qualified to understand both the contractor’s perspective as well as the Project Owner’s perspective in the delivery of a safe work site.
