Karen Keniff serves as Senior Vice President, Large Accounts for Zurich's Construction Industry Segment. In her role she is responsible for leading underwriting as well as product and service strategies to provide risk management solutions for contractors and owners. She joined Zurich's Construction unit in 2001, serving as a Casualty Vice President for the South Central Region. Since this time, she has held several national leadership roles in the Construction practice, most recently leading the Large Construction Management customer segment. Karen originally started her insurance career at her family's independent agency in Texas, and went on to grow her industry and management experience at AIG. In her 8 year tenure there, she focused on the risk management and umbrella divisions in the Southwest Region. She earned her MBA in Risk Management from the University of North Texas, and her Bachelor of Science in Economics from Texas A&M University. She holds the Charted Property Casualty Underwriter, (CPCU), Certified Risk Managers International (CRM) and Certified Insurance Counselors (CIC) professional designations. A resident of Baltimore, Maryland, Karen is an active member of the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC). She is also a founding member of the Texas A&M Women Former Students’ Network -- a network designed to expand the connection of former students with current students and to promote engagement of women in the educational, charitable, and cultural life of Texas A&M (aggiewomen.org).
