Gina Brkich-Smith, J.D., Managing Director, Corporate Claims—Major Case Unit, Subrogation, SIU
Gina currently oversees three units within the FCCI Insurance Corporate Claims Department—the Special Investigative Unit, the Subrogation unit and the Major Case Unit (MCU). The FCCI MCU team handles a variety of complex claims to include all of the company’s construction defect claims. Prior to joining the Corporate Claims department in June 2017, Gina was the Director, Corporate Counsel of the Claims Legal team in the FCCI Legal Department, where she worked for fourteen years. In her years as Corporate Counsel, she worked closely with FCCI’s claim departments on coverage and litigation issues and strategies. She also spent a year as Staff Counsel for AIG’s personal auto line.

She is a 2001 graduate of Stetson University College of Law in St. Petersburg, Florida and a member of the Florida Bar. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling with her family and making wine with her friends.
