Biography

Ms. Sara Brothers, Divisional VP with Great American’s Environmental Insurance Division (GAIG.com/Environmental), is a recognized environmental industry expert, with over 30 years of extensive consulting and industry experience in the petroleum, industrial, commercial and government sectors.  Before joining Great American in 2016, she was a SVP for Trihydro Corporation, where she managed the division responsible for the remediation and assessment of complex closed facilities. During her tenure, Sara formed and led the company’s Strategic Business Services Group, which specialized in providing underwriting and claims support to the environmental insurance industry. She also served on the company’s Board of Directors. Prior to Trihydro, Sara worked in both industry and consulting, managing RCRA corrective action and closure projects for Safety-Kleen Corporation in the US and Canada, and leading teams at Intel Corporation responsible for semiconductor facility construction.
 
In her position with Great American’s Environmental Division, Sara is the Director of Technical Support & Training, coordinating technical support to the Underwriting, Claims, and Operations units. A professional geologist, Sara graduated from Harvard University with a Bachelor of Arts in Geology and holds a Masters of Science in Geology and Masters of Business Administration from the University of New Mexico.
