Biography
Josh Zirin is founder of Zirin Consulting, Inc. a provider of independent actuarial and insurance consulting services to insurance companies, captives and risk retention groups, self-insured entities and other clients. Previously in his 30-year career he served as US Head of Reserving for an international insurer, and US Property & Casualty practice leader for an actuarial and insurance consulting firm. Josh’s experience covers a broad range of reserving for commercial and personal lines of both active and runoff business, as well as insurance company pricing roles and projects related to reinsurance and excess insurance placement, and other risk analyses. Josh graduated from the University of Chicago with a B.A. in Mathematics. He is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society and Member of the American Academy of Actuaries.
