Biography

I currently serve as General Counsel as well as the Construction Practice Coordinator for Cook Maran, a Prime Risk Partner.  In addition, I possess almost 20 years’ of boots on the ground field experience within Construction in NYC.  As the Construction Practice Coordinator, I am responsible for the placement of all insurance policies for our large-size Construction based accounts.  Additionally, as a practicing Attorney with a specialization in Construction Law, I am also responsible for the performance of all legal related work for our construction clientele, inclduing the drafting, negotiation and review of all Project Agreements, Trade Contractor Agreements and Hold Harmless provisions. 

At Cook Maran, we recognize that if the proper protocols and corporate culture are implemented within our clients’ organizations, we will be able to provde a better picture to our underwriting partners of our clients' operations and therefore any carriers who may be approached may be more prone to offer more advantageous coverage terms and pricing.  This approach allows for the cultivation of a long term relationship with our client base.
