Carrie Graziani is an Assistant Vice President of Specialty Claims with The Hanover Insurance Group. She leads the Management Liability Claims department, which handles exposures involving Directors and Officers (D&O) Liability, Employment Practices Liability, School Educators’ Legal Liability, Fiduciary Liability, Fidelity & Crime, Kidnap & Ransom and Financial Institutions.
Ms. Graziani grew up in Michigan and Ohio and attended Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio. Ms. Graziani received her Bachelor of Arts in History, with a double minor in Political Science and Philosophy in 1998. Thereafter, she attended DePaul University College of Law, in Chicago, Illinois graduating with her Juris Doctor in 2001. Thereafter, she began her legal career and came to specialize in representing insurers in general liability, environmental, and management liability coverage disputes.
In 2007, Ms. Graziani left private practice for an in-house role with Great American Insurance Group. At Great American, Ms. Graziani handled and oversaw a team handling D&O, EPL, Fiduciary and Cyber claims. Additionally, in 2008 she received her Registered Professional Liability Underwriter designation through the Professional Liability Underwriting Society (“PLUS”) and in 2009 received her Associate in Claims Designation through the Institutes. Ms. Graziani joined The Hanover in October 2015 as a Specialty Claims Manager overseeing the Complex D&O and EPL team at Hanover. In March 2022, Ms. Graziani was promoted to AVP and Head of Management Liability Claims. She maintains an active Illinois law license and holds adjuster licenses in all required states.
