Biography
Michael Gallagher is currently a Claims Consulting Director at CNA who handles professional liability claims against mid-size, large and intellectual property law firms. From September, 2016 until September, 2018, Mr. Gallagher was a Director in CNA's Strategic Claim Unit where he provided oversight and management of the highest exposure and most difficult professional services claims in various lines of business including lawyers, accountants, real estate professionals, not-for-profit directors and officers and miscellaneous professionals. Mr. Gallagher joined CNA in May, 2012. Prior to that, Mr. Gallagher was in private practice for approximately seven years. His private practice experience included handling all phases, from inception and pre-suit advice through trial and appeal, of casualty, professional liability and insurance coverage matters at Marshall, Dennehey, Warner, Coleman & Goggin and Cullen & Dykman. Mr. Gallagher is an attorney admitted to practice in New York and Washington, DC and a claims adjuster licensed in numerous states. He is a graduate of the Hofstra University School of Law and the George Washington University.
