Biography
Independent construction risk management consultant with more than 40 years of experience with commercial insurance, construction risk management, claims management, litigation management, and related fields. More than three decades of experience as Risk Manager for commercial trade contractors, general contractors and developers. Nine years of experience in loss prevention, underwriting, and premium audit for commercial insurance carriers. Specific trade contractor experience includes working with HVAC; mechanical; plumbing; street and road; bridge/heavy construction; metal stud framing; drywall; plastering; door, door/frame. and hardware; suspended acoustical ceiling; and fireproofing contractors. Experience also includes work with real-estate development, general contractors, and related entities. Direct experience with implementing, operating and working under OCIP/CCIP programs. Hands-on experience managing claims and litigation. A frequent speaker and moderator at industry events, including the Risk and Insurance Management Society Annual Conference and Exhibition, and the International Risk Management Institute's Construction Risk Management Conference; recipient of the RIMS Ron Judd Heart of RIMS award, and of the IRMI Words of Wisdom award.
