Biography

Megan Lieber is attorney in the San Diego office of Collins Collins Muir + Stewart. Ms. Lieber’s litigation practice focuses on construction law (representing design professionals, general contractors, and specialty contractors), general casualty and business litigation, professional liability, employment law, insurance coverage, public entity liability, and civil rights. She has represented public entities in civil rights and child abuse cases. In employment law, she has handled wage and hour violations, wrongful termination, and disability discrimination. She has also represented design professionals in all areas of their practice, including professional liability and contract claims. Ms. Lieber is currently a member of several professional organizations, including the San Diego and North County Bar Associations, the San Diego Chapter of the Risk and Insurance Management Society (RIMS), and the Claims and Litigation Management (CLM) Alliance. Ms. Lieber is also affiliated with several construction industry organizations, including the San Diego Chapter of the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) American Institute of Architects (AIA) San Diego and Palomar Chapters, and the San Diego Chapter of the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC).

Ms. Lieber received her Juris Doctor from Gonzaga University School of Law and her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Loyola Marymount University.

Ms. Lieber has previously presented seminars and published articles on various topics, including Design Build: An Old Idea for a New World; How to Outsmart the Snake: Defenses to the Reptilian Litigation Strategy; It’s 2018 and Guess What…The Contract Still Matters!; Professionalism and Preventing Sexual Harassment in the Workplace; and Indemnity Laws Have Changed Again - What Does This Mean For Public Agencies?
