Biography
Andy Guerra is a Structural Engineer with over 25 years of experience as a structural engineer and 15 years of experience specializing in the investigation and analysis of potential construction defects and building system failures. He has extensive expertise in analyzing buildings to identify causes of potential design and construction deficiencies, determining responsible parties, and providing solutions to mitigate or repair issues. His experience spans residential, commercial, educational, mixed-use, and hospitality.
Mr. Guerra is well-versed in the analysis, design, and detailing of building envelope, structural, and foundation systems. He has a deep understanding of the International Building Codes, ASCE 7, and material-specific design standards such as ACI, AISC, AISI, and NDS, which he applies in both forensic investigations and repair designs. His work combines technical expertise with a commitment to resolving complex construction challenges effectively.
