Biography
Perla joined Sompo in January 2019 and manages cyber, media and technology claims. In her role, she also collaborates with the business unit to help assess insurable risks, enhance client retention and improve brand recognition. She has over ten years of insurance and legal experience. Prior to joining Sompo, Perla was Claims Counsel at two major carriers, where she focused on overseeing cyber, media and technology claims. Before that, she worked for an insurance company handling employment practices claims and was in private practice for a law firm in New York, representing management-side clients in employment law matters. She earned her BA with honors from Manhattanville College and her JD from Rutgers Law School. She is a member of the New York and New Jersey Bars. Perla is a frequent speaker on cyber panels at industry events and has taught at the CLM School of Cyber Claims as a member of faculty.
