Biography

Lindsey is a shareholder at Smith Mills Law. She is currently serving as Vice President on the firm’s Board of Directors and is a member of the firm’s Workers’ Compensation and Employment Law practice groups and is the firm’s Associate Attorney and Summer Law Clerk Supervisor. She represents employers in the defense of workers’ compensation cases, employment matters, and civil litigation in Iowa, Nebraska, and Missouri.

Lindsey is a council member of the Workers’ Compensation Section of The Iowa State Bar Association, a member of Blackstone Inn of Court, and an active member of the American Bar Association’s Tort Trial and Insurance Practice Section, currently serving as Vice Chair of its Workers’ Compensation and Employers’ Liability Committee. Additionally, Lindsey is a board member of Polk County Women Attorneys.

Lindsey has been a guest lecturer in a number of seminars including the Iowa Workers’ Compensation Advisory Committee’s 50th Annual Symposium in 2012, the ABA TIPS’ Workers’ Compensation Midwinter Seminar in 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2013. She also frequently provides in-house seminars to clients on issues involving workers’ compensation and employment law in addition to authoring various articles for publication in both the ABA TIPS’ Workers Compensation and Employers’ Liability Committee’s Newsletter and for the Defense Research Institute.
