Biography

Ms. Friis is a Senior Project Manager with Walter P Moore.  She has over 27 years of structural engineering design, design-build, project management, forensic engineering, construction defect litigation, and builder's risk claims experience. Her extensive analysis and design experience combined with her educational background enable her to analyze a wide variety of structural problems and failures.
 
In addition, Ms. Friis has comprehensive knowledge of technical design standards for the most commonly used building materials, construction processes, as well as past and current building codes.  She is a member of the ASCE Forensics Committee and and past member of ASCE 7 Main Committee and the ASCE 7 Wind Loads Subcommittee for the 2022, 2016, and 2010 ASCE 7. She is a recipient of the Structural Engineering Institute (SEI) President's Award, an SEI Fellow, an ASCE Fellow and a past member of the SEI Board of Governors. Ms. Friis enjoys presenting at CLM Conferences and teaching at CLM Claims College (Construction).
