Jarod Proto

Biography

Jarod F. Proto is the Chief Risk Officer and general Counsel of the Graph Group, a private equity firm specializing in health care delivery systems, insurance and mezzanine lending. In his role, he is responsible for overseeing all risk management and legal regulatory affairs, including litigation and claims management, pertaining to Graph and its affiliated companies. He also serves as the Chief Operating Officer of Graph Insurance Group, a Risk Retention Group, LLC; a RRG that provide insurance and risk management services to 70+ skilled nursing facilities and more than 12,000 patients nationwide.
 
Mr. Proto has had extensive experience in insurance program management, medical and professional liability, cross-discipline data reporting (actuarial/brokerage/underwriting), indemnity and expense reserving, and claim negotiation and resolution.
 
Prior to joining The Graph Group, Mr. Proto served as claims counsel for Western Litigation, Inc., a subsidiary of Arthur J. Gallagher & CO., Inc. He has also held positions in the healthcare professional liability division of Allied World Assurance Company, LTD. And as an attorney at Neubert Pepe & Monteith, P.C., in New Haven, CT, where he represented financial and healthcare organizations in phases of complex litigation in state and federal courts.
