Marina Llata

Biography

Marina Llata has been an attorney for 18 years.  She is a Senior Claims Specialist at AXIS Insurance where she is responsible for fiduciary liability and fidelity claims.  Prior to her time as a claims counsel/examiner, Ms. Llata enjoyed a successful career in private practice.  At a Chicago law firm, she represented both domestic and international clients, as monitoring and coverage counsel, on matters involving employment practices and directors and officers liability.  She also worked in California, as a plaintiff’s employment law litigator.  Ms. Llata’s expertise includes representation of public and private companies and she is well versed in various issues involving manager and management liability.
Ms. Llata is a graduate of the University of California in Santa Barbara where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and of the University of California Los Angeles School of Law.  She is a CLM Fellow and a member of the Professional Liability Underwriting Society.  Ms. Llata serves as Vice President of the Clermont Cove Condominium Association in Jersey City and she lives with her husband and two children in New Jersey.
