Jonathan Spadea

Biography

Mr. Spadea primarily handles workers’ compensation claims; however, he is also well-versed and experienced in matters pertaining to medical fee disputes between providers and insurers.

Mr. Spadea frequently defends insurance carriers, self-insured entities and TPA’s in workers’ compensation matters across the state of Pennsylvania. He has experience helping insurers navigate the fee review arena and litigate disputes over medical bills with providers. Mr. Spadea is dedicated to obtaining speedy resolutions for his clients prior to extended litigation to avoid unnecessary costs. However, when faced with cases in which litigation cannot be avoided, Mr. Spadea works tirelessly and aggressively to fight for his clients and achieve positive outcomes. In addition to providing legal advice and representing clients, Mr. Spadea often presents on workers’ compensation case law updates and has recently presented on medical marijuana in Pennsylvania.

Prior to joining the team at Chartwell Law, Mr. Spadea worked as a law clerk for the Dauphin County District Attorney’s Office, as well as a prominent law firm in Harrisburg. Mr. Spadea is admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar.

While in law school, Mr. Spadea worked as a certified legal lntern in the Environmental Law Clinic and received an Honors Certificate in Environmental Law upon graduation.

Outside of the office, Mr. Spadea is a strong supporter of the Harrisburg Humane Society and an avid fan of Notre Dame Football.
