John Stanford

Biography

John Stanford, a member of Atlas Settlement Group in Atlanta, is a 30-year veteran of the structured settlement industry. His primary focus is to assist in the resolution of medical negligence claims, truck accidents, products liability claims, workers compensation and Medicare compliance.

After graduating from Georgia Tech with an engineering degree, John obtained his law degree from the University of Georgia. For nine years, he practiced law with the Atlanta firm of Long, Weinberg, Ansley and Wheeler, focusing on the defense of products liability, medical negligence and automobile accident claims. During that time, he successfully argued two cases before the Georgia Supreme Court, one of which established legal precedent in products liability cases, and the other clarified the Georgia Rules of evidence. His legal background has given John an appreciation of the complexity of the litigation process, and provided unique insight into the divergent interests which must be considered in the resolution of personal injury claims.

John is a member of the National Structured Settlements Trade Association.
