Biography
Summer Jenkins is one of the founding members of the cannabis insurance industry in the United States, Australia and Canada. She authored many of the insurance coverage forms in circulation world-wide. Jenkins is a teacher, mother and avid fisherman. She brings passion and zeal to all her endeavors, personal and professional.
Jenkins mastered many disciplines during her tenure in the commercial insurance industry. As a result, she possesses an extensive base of industry experience, knowledge and relationships. Areas of demonstrated success include insurance program creation and administration, underwriting, claims management, operations and coverage form analysis. Additional specialties range from underwriting management, transportation, program development to foreign and domestic risk management.
Jenkins’s a nationally sought-after speaker and thought leader. She regularly teaches continuing education classes for attorneys, accountants and insurance professionals and is on the faculty of Oaksterdam University.
Summer holds leadership positions with several cannabis trade associations and contributes to the success of the legalized cannabis industry by participating in speaking engagements and lobbying efforts.
