Carol Arendall

Biography

Carol spent close to 20 years at Saks Incorporated as the Director of Risk Management.   Carol joined OfficeMax in 2005, as the Senior Director of Risk Management responsible for the purchasing of all the property and casualty insurance, claims management, Bermuda based captive and self-insured fronting programs and legacy claims portfolio.  Carol was also a leader of the Enterprise Risk Management initiative at OfficeMax. 
Carol joined US Foods Inc., as their Vice President of Risk Management in 2009.  US Foods distributes food and related products to more than 250,000 customers.  Carol was responsible for purchasing insurance and claims management as well as providing strategic direction on risk mitigation strategies through-out the company. 

Carol has been the VP of Global Risk Management for Stericycle, Inc. since 2018.  Stericycle is an international industry leader in medical waste disposal and document destruction and has been on the front lines with medical providers during the pandemic.  Stericycle assisted with the setup and stocking of temporary medical treatment and test sites and picking up the medical waste.  Now Stericycle is safely disposing of the millions of empty vaccine vials. 

Carol was a founding member of the Advisory Board for the National Retail and Restaurant Defense Association (NRRDA) and has served on various other risk management boards through the years.   In addition, Carol was named to the Business Insurance 2007 Risk Manager of the Year Honor Roll and named as one of 50 Women to Watch in the Insurance Industry by Business Insurance.
