Title and Brief Overview of Job Responsibilities: Vice President, Risk Management:Strategic projects and development in the Risk Management area.  Day to day management and supervision of  associates working in the Workers Compensation, Liability, and Process and Procedures Groups within Risk Management.  Purchase of insurance for Publix, other than health insurance.  Overseeing  the handling of all workers compensation and liability claims involving Publix including the performance  of the Florida WC self- administered Claim unit and Publix’s third party claims administrators, Sedgwick.Overseeing the management of  customer and consumer claims and lawsuits against Publix, including the Publix/Sedgwick dedicated Liability Claims Unit at Risk Management,  an attorney and two paralegals.
