Biography
MICHAEL KASHTAN is currently General Counsel for Fort Capital Management. Previously he was in private practice in the areas of construction litigation, commercial litigation, insurance litigation, arbitration and mediation. He has successfully represented numerous architects and engineers, contractors and developers on issues ranging from simple contract disputes to multi party construction disputes.Michael Kashtan was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada and raised in Rochester, New York. Mr. Kashtan received his Bachelor of Science degree from The State University of New York at Buffalo in 1979, and his Juris Doctor from the University of Miami in 1983.He has been consistently recognized by Best Lawyers of America, Chambers & Partners and Florida Super Lawyers. With Best Lawyers he has been peer nominated and selected since 2005 and Chambers USA has described Mr. Kashtan as a "tough, highly-ethical and an undeniably fair attorney".
