Biography

STEVEN GARY SCHWARTZ has served as trial and appellate counsel in many insurance coverage, commercial litigation and personal injury cases throughout Florida as well as in many other jurisdictions of the country for over 38 years.  Mr. Schwartz is a graduate of Franklin & Marshall College (Lancaster, PA-1975) and Washington & Lee University School of Law (Lexington, VA- 1978).  Mr. Schwartz began his law practice in Norfolk, Virginia and served as Vice President of Claims and General Counsel of Boat Owners Association of the United States (BOAT/U.S.) in Alexandria, Virginia in the 1980’s  before relocating to South Florida in 1991.
         
He is a member of the Bars of the Supreme Courts of Florida, Virginia and Maryland;  the Federal Courts for the Southern, Middle and Northern Districts of Florida; the District of Maryland; the Eastern and Western Districts of Virginia; the appellate federal courts for the Eleventh Second and Fourth Circuits; the U.S. Claims Court and the Supreme Court of the United States. 
 
Mr. Schwartz is a member of the Florida, Virginia Maryland and American Bar Association, Trial Lawyers of America, Insurance Defense Bar, Claims & Litigation Management Alliance and the Palm Beach County  Bar Association.
