Shari Marko

Biography

Shari Marko was the Sr. Director, Claims - Legal for Markel Service, Incorporated, a claims service manager for insurance companies owned by Markel Corporation.  In this capacity, she managed the unit which oversees the handling of extra-contractual claims for Markel North America and managed the unit which provides coverage advice to various claim product lines.   Prior to this role, Shari was responsible for managing the Excess and Umbrella Claims Unit and handling general liability claims. Prior to working for Markel, Shari worked for a law firm where she specialized in defending insurance companies in coverage litigation.  Prior to joining the law firm, Shari clerked for the Hon. Burton J. Ironson, J.S.C. (Ret). Shari graduated from Widener University School of Law and the University of Delaware.
