Biography

In my prior position as Claims Manager for Mesa Underwriters Specialty Insurance Company, I managed a claims department to include claims and litigation for both commercial property and general liability exposures. In the course of my career I have held positions in all lines of insurance; both personal and commercial. I have also had experience in risk management and insurance regulation. Past positions include; Special Examiner for the Arizona Department of Insurance, Litigation Specialist for the Hartford SRS and Republic Western Insurance Company, and Marketing Account Manager with Berkley Risk Administrators. My specialty is in the area of litigation management.
In 2010 I was invited as a Delegate Ambassador to China on behalf of the Society of Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriters (CPCU). As a Delegate I met with the Dean of Peking University, Executives of Chartis Insurance Group, and Executives from the government-controlled People’s Insurance Company of China (PICC) to exchange ideas on business methodology and expansion.
Leadership positions include; Director of Regulation and Legislation for AZ Society of CPCU, Regional Chair for Claims Litigation Management organization, Secretary of the Omaha Chapter of CPCU, Executive Board Member for Sickle Cell Anemia and Regulatory Delegate of the Advisory Board for Disability Prevention. Editorial Assistant of the Journal of Applied Social Sciences at Case Western Reserve University.
I have co-chaired CLM sessions entitled, “Managing Risk-Snow and Ice Litigation”, " Medicare Lien Settlements", "Reservation of Rights Issues" at the Annual CLM Conferences and co-authored Claims Litigation Management articles; “Binding or Not- Arbitration Clauses in Construction Contracts”, "Managing Snow and Ice Litigation " and "Common Medicare Settlement Bottlenecks and Proposed Solutions."
