A.J. Krouse is a founding partner of Frilot LLC in New Orleans, LA. His trial practice is concentrated primarily in the defense of class actions, products liability and employment law. He is an experienced and accomplished trial lawyer, having successfully tried to verdict cases in various state and federal courts. He is a Fellow of the College of Commercial Arbitrators. He has been selected by his peers for inclusion in Best Lawyers in America and Louisiana Super Lawyers. In 2011, he received the Leadership in Law award, which annually recognizes New Orleans Legal Professionals based on their professional and community involvement and achievements.
Mr. Krouse is a certified mediator with the International Mediation Institute. Mr. Krouse is also a fellow in the American College of Civil Trial Mediators(ACCTM), the Academy of Court Appointed Masters (ACAM) Mr. Krouse also serves as an arbitrator with the American Arbitration Association; American Health Lawyers' Association ('AHLA') and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority ('FINRA'). Mr. Krouse has been inducted as a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators ('ClArb') and given the designatory letters FCIArb. He was also inducted into the National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals. Mr. Krouse has been selected as a member of the prestigious Claims and Litigation Management (CLM).
Upon graduation from Loyola University, New Orleans, in 1977, Mr. Krouse was commissioned in the United States Army as second Lieutenant in the Military Police Corps. After receiving an Honorary Discharge as a Captain, Mr. Krouse graduated from Loyola University School of Law in 1984. He served as a federal judicial law clerk and extern for Senior U.S. District Judge A.J. McNamara from 1983 to 1985.
Mr. Krouse is also a frequent speaker on electronic discovery issues and is a trainer of arbitrators and mediators.
