Biography

Jennifer Burkhart brings over 30 years of P&C claims expertise, with a specialized focus on both Workers’ Compensation and Casualty claims process and operations management. As the VP of Casualty & Workers’ Compensation Claims at Westfield Insurance Group since 2013, Jennifer has national responsibility for developing and executing strategies that manage the performance, quality, business results, and expenses of both the WC and Casualty claims lines of business.

Jennifer career marked by her ability to build and lead effective claim teams at all levels. She has successfully identified and implemented process, program and expense initiatives for both WC and Casualty claims that have resulted in positive claim outcomes. Notably, she led the project team in the successful implementation of the WC Claims Severity Model and served as nd Guidewire Claims system implementation.

Her previous roles include the process lead for a multiyear claims transformation project, leading vendor selection and process implementation for both WC and Casualty programs focused on improving claim outcomes and driving operational efficiencies.

Throughout her career, Jennifer has demonstrated a proven ability to foster strong teamwork across the organization and lead various groups through change. Her leadership extends beyond her immediate responsibilities, as she has been an integral part of developing recommendations for future state structures, system and process requirements, and strategic claims management initiatives for both WC and Casualty lines.
