Mark is the Director of Risk Management for Oil States International, Inc., a technology based, pure-play energy services enterprise comprised of oil field services and manufacturing operations based in Houston, TX with large-scale worldwide operations. His responsibilities include the oversight of all risk management, insurance procurement, claims management, and safety and environmental functions for the company.
Mark has 30 years of experience in the risk management field. Prior to joining Oil States, Mark was the Director of Risk Management and Safety for McKesson Drugs, US Oncology operations. US Oncology is a cancer treatment network, wholesale and retail drug distributor, and research organization with a network of over 650 oncologists throughout the United States. In addition, Mark ran their medical malpractice insurance unit. Prior to joining McKesson, Mark served as Vice President of Risk for Hercules Offshore – a worldwide drilling, tug boat, and lift boat supplier to the oil industry. In addition to standard risk management for the enterprise, Mark set up an in-house claims unit to handle all of the enterprise claims including Marine and Jones Act exposures. Mark also served as Vice President of Risk Management with Eagle Global Logistics, Inc., a multinational logistics supplier. Mark had additional operational responsibilities as President of the Captive Insurance Company.
