Prior to becoming a lawyer, she was an insurance adjuster for seven years, handling a wide variety of claims in both personal and commercial lines. She has more than two decades of litigation experience handling hundreds of cases involving auto liability, wrongful death, products liability, professional malpractice, premises liability, carbon monoxide cases, employer liability, bad faith, and construction defect. She has tried over three dozen jury trials to verdict and has numerous reported appellate opinions. She is admitted in all courts in the States of Colorado and Wyoming. Kathy also has the CPCU insurance designation, regularly gives seminars to claims associations, and has taught insurance courses at the Community College of Aurora. She has an AV Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review rating.
