Rusty Goudelock graduated from The Citadel with a degree in business administration and obtained his Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law. Rusty is a founding member of MGC. He has been representing business interests in workers’ compensation and related matters exclusively for more than 38 years. He prides himself in understanding his clients’ workforce, products, services and industry. Rusty is an active member in key national professional organizations devoted to workers’ compensation and claims industry issues, including the Claims and Litigation Management Alliance (CLM) and the Defense Research Insitute (DRI). In addition, he has served the Bar and community as president of the South Carolina Workers’ Compensation Educational Association, treasurer of Kids Chance of SC, chair of the SC Bar’s Workers’ Compensation Section, and Advisory Board member of the USO South Carolina. Rusty regularly lectures before various organizations on issues related to workers’ compensation and litigation management issues. He frequently appears before the South Carolina Workers’ Compensation Commission and in state courts representing employers, self-insureds and insurance carriers. Rusty is one of the South Carolina attorneys practicing workers’ compensation law named in The Best Lawyers in America and South Carolina Super Lawyers.
Outside of MGC, Rusty can be found spending time with his family, including his wife, three daughters, sons-in-law, granddaughter, and a host of family dogs. He and his family enjoy college football together, spending time at the beach and traveling. Rusty enjoys fishing and flying. He has been a licensed pilot since age 17 and volunteers to support medical air transport missions for Mercy Flight. He is a US Army veteran.
