Chantell has more than 18 years of experience in construction disputes. Beginning in Seattle, Washington in 1998, Chantell entered the world of construction representing contractors in disputes related to bid-shopping, non-competitive bids, contract negotiation, extra-work claims, default termination, termination for convenience, and lien, bond and retainage claims. Chantell moved to Phoenix, AZ to pursue her graduate studies and in 2005 was accepted to University of Miami Medical School. The summer before matriculating, Chantell responded to an employment ad for a summer position requiring legal writing skills and scientific background; an interview that would forever change her career path. At the interview, Chantell met Doug Ward and an eventual synergy was formed which immersed Chantell into the world of Construction.
Chantell graduated with Honors from the University of Washington in Seattle with a dual Bachelors of Arts degree in Political Science and Spanish. In 2005, as a pre-requisite to Medical School, Chantell completed a Graduate Post-Baccalaureate degree in Chemistry. In 2007 Chantell completed certificate programs in both Construction Management and Cost Estimating. And in 2008, Chantell declined her admission to Medical School and committed herself to construction forensics. Chantell and Doug opened the doors to their company, The Ward Group in January 2012.
