Biography
Kimberly A. Davis is a co-founder and co-managing partner of SpyratosDavis LLC in Lisle and Chicago. Kim's work includes defense of construction, transportation, workplace, premises, long term care, sub-acute care, product liability, worker's compensation and automobile accident claims, special investigations, and subrogation prosecution. Kim spent 16 years at her former firm, where she was their first female partner and equity owner. Kim received a 2017 Outstanding Defense Verdict Award from the Jury Verdict Reporter. She is also a Super Lawyer/Leading Lawyer in Construction Litigation defense.
Kim has a J.D. with honors from IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law (1997); she attended law school in the evenings while working full-time as a paralegal/office manager.
Kim has been a member of CLM since 2012 and presented at the CLM Annual Conference in 2015 on Transportation Claims: Scope of Biomechanical Opinions regarding Medical Causation and Newer Technology for Claim Investigation. Kim has given numerous CLE presentations on trial advocacy, TBIs, evidence, and civil litigation for the ISBA and the DCBA. Kim also taught Civil Litigation as an Adjunct Professor in the Paralegal Studies Department at the College of DuPage.
Kim has assumed leadership positions in several state and local bar associations and received the Inspirational Woman Award for 2017 from the DuPage Association of Women Lawyers. She chaired the largest Section of the ISBA called the Civil Practice Section Council and was the inagural chair of the first Ad Hoc Committe on Diversity and Inclusion for the DCBA. She and business partner Angelo Spyratos formed SpyratosDavis LLC in 2016. The firm has twelve attorneys with offices in Lisle and Chicago, IL. She is blessed to be a breast cancer survivor and a single mom who lives with her family in a western suburb of Chicago.
