Biography

Floyd G. Cottrell is Partner in Rawle & Henderson LLP, the oldest law firm in the United States in continuous operation, and managing partner of its northern New Jersey office. He graduated Fordham College (Bronx, New York) and Fordham University School of Law (N.Y., N.Y.) He is admitted to all Courts of the States of New York and New Jersey. He is certified as a civil trial attorney by the New Jersey Supreme Court, after a rigorous process that includes attestations of ability by the Judges presiding at his trials and a day-long written test on evidentiary rules and trial skills. He has over 70 cases tried to verdict. He is on faculty of the CLM Claims College School of Transportation, a Certified Litigation Management Professional (“CLMP”), Past President and current Master in the Brennan-Vanderbilt Inns of Court, a member of the Trucking Industry Defense Association (“TIDA”) and currently Chair of the International Association of Defense Counsel (“IADC”) Transportation Committee and a Vice-Chair of the IADC Trial Tactics and Techniques Committee.
