Lou joined Schwab & Gasparini in 2008 as a Partner after practicing for a prestigious Albany based civil litigation firm. Since that time, he has developed his practice to include several insurers as well as privately owned businesses and individuals.

He actively handles various types of employment matters for other Firm clients, defending against claims of tortuous interference, contracts, discrimination and unfair competition. Lou handles actions to enforce and defend against claims relating to non-competition and solicitation agreements. He counsels clients on employment issues dealing with contracts, discipline, promotions, terminations and workplace law issues, and has defended against employment discrimination suits before the New York State Division of Human Rights (DHR) and the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). Lou advises employers on the drafting and negotiating of non-compete agreements, and on the preparation of specific employment policies, handbooks and manuals.
