Biography

Retired after over 25 years with the Los Angeles Police Department where twice nominated as Detective of the Year for Central Bureau.  Assigned traffic detectives where successfully prosecuted individuals from misdemeanor traffic offenses to vehicular murder. Shortly after retirement employed with Inspire Insurance Solutions, a TPA in Southern California where I handled suspected fraudulent claims throughout California. Moved to CalFarm Insurance in Southern California, an insurance company related with the California Farm Bureau by supplying all lines of insurance to the farm, business and individual customers throughout California. CalFarm was purchased by Nationwide Insurance in 1999 where I continued employment handling all lines of suspected fraudulent claim investigations in the Southern California area.  I am currently with the Automobile Club of Southern California where I handle all questionable homeowner claims. I have developed a working relationship with NICB, local and state law enforcement agencies as well as with other insurance companies. I am activaly involved with the Southern California chapter of the International Association of Special Investigation (IASIU) where I served as a Board Member, Vice President and then elected as the President for the 2004 - 2005 term.  In 2003 I was honored as the Auto Investigator of the Year as well as the overall Investigator of the Year for the Southern California chapter of IASIU.  I am also active with the Southern California Fraud Investigator Association (SCFIA) where I have acted as the Chair Person for the annual Golf Tournament, as well as assisted in the organization of the annual conference, over the past 5 years.
