Dispute Resolution
Inter-Company Dispute Resolution Agreement
Insurance companies annually spend more than $2 billion on litigation costs on cases between carriers. Recognizing those huge expenditures and the potential negative impact it can have on the individual companies and the industry, Chief Claims Officers sought to craft a reasonable approach to resolving matters between insurance companies. The result is the Inter-Company Dispute Resolution Agreement.
This agreement is unlike any other in the industry. Companies that participate in the Inter-Company Dispute Resolution Agreement agree to resolve disputes through senior management settlement discussions, mediation, and/or arbitration.
Companies that have already signed the Agreement are listed below. More are being added. If your company is interested in learning more about the Agreement, contact Susan Wisbey-Smith. Download and review the Agreement .
