Biography

Prudencio Castillo is a CL - Claims Generalist Sr with Progressive as of July of 2021 and licensed in 15 states.  Prior to Progressive, he was a Senior Casualty Consultant I for Encompass Insurance and had been with the company since June of 2014.  He was responsible for handling of complex casualty claims that are reported under Encompass’ Personal Automobile, Home Owners, and Umbrella policies.   

Prudencio began his insurance carrier a Founders Insurance Company where he handled personal and commercial automobile losses.   Over the course of the years, Prudencio has had an opportunity to investigate and testify for complex claims including declaratory actions, spoliation, and bad faith.  

Prudencio earned his Bachelors of Arts degree in Classics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.  He currently holds the following certification: Claims & Litigation Management Professional (CLMP) designation, Certified Claims Professional (CCP) and Certified Auto Subrogation Arbitrator (CASA).  Prudencio has been an active arbitrator for arbitration forums since 2015.
