Biography

James ("Jim") Shea is a Mediator, Arbitrator and Umpire with over thirty plus years of legal and ADR experience. Jim's mediation practice focuses on construction, employment, insurance and tort claims. Jim also conducts arbitrations in the areas of construction, insurance, commercial and torts. Jim is based in the Tampa Bay area but handles mediations and arbitrations in person throughout the Southeast or virtually wherever parties may require.

Over his career, Jim has represented Plaintiffs, Defendants and Self-Insureds in state and federal courts, as well as ADR proceedings across multiple practice areas. Jim's experience, which includes serving for over ten years as the Chief Legal Officer and Chief Risk Officer for a group of privately held telecom and fiber installation companies, enables him to bring unique insight on risk to help parties obtain a resolution to their disputes.
