Biography

Donna Wiik is a Claims Consultant with XL Design Professional handling error and omission matters for Architects and Engineers. Donna has been with XLDP since the company was formed in December of 2003. She was with DPIC Companies, XL’s predecessor, for 15 years and has been handling construction and design related claims since 1988. Prior to joining DPIC, Donna was the Corporate Claims Analyst for the Ingersoll-Rand Corporation.

Donna is licensed to handle claims in twelve states. She was named the National Association of Insurance Women –New Jersey Claims Professional of the Year in 2004, 2006, 2009 and 2012. Donna was also the NAIW Region I Claims Professional of the Year in 2004 and 2007. She was the NAIW Region I Rookie of the Year for 2003-2004 and was awarded the Mary Karatsanos Education Award for her leadership in Insurance Education in 2009.

Donna is a certified instructor in several states and teaches continuing education and communications courses.

Donna is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Montclair State College. In addition to being a Certified Professional Insurance Woman and a Diversified Advance Education Designee, Donna has an Associate in Claims and an Associate in General Insurance from the Insurance Institute of America and her Senior Claims Law Associate from the American Educational Institute. She is currently working on her Construction Risk Insurance Specialist designation through the Insurance Risk Management Institute.

She is on the Professional Liability Committee of the Claims and Litigation Management Alliance, belongs to the International Association of Insurance Professionals and is a member of the Senior Claims Law Society.

Donna resides in Highland Lakes NJ with her husband and two sons.
