Biography

Joseph Piekarski brings over 25 years of insurance claims experience to Berkley Program Specialists and Berkley Re Solutions. Throughout his career, he has managed exposures across commercial and personal insurance lines for global corporate, captive, middle market, and small business customers.

Mr. Piekarski also has extensive project management experience, having led various innovation and process improvement projects. Since joining Berkley Program Specialists in November 2017, he has leveraged his claims expertise, leadership, and insights to support program administrators, oversee TPA partners, and implement an in-house claims team.

As Chief Claims Officer (CCO) of Berkley Program Specialists and Berkley Re Solutions, Mr. Piekarski is responsible for managing all aspects of claims, from strategic direction to operational excellence, quality management, and analytics for program, reinsurance, and custom turnkey products.

Mr. Piekarski holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Western Illinois University, where he graduated with honors. He currently serves as the Kentucky Chapter President for CLM.
