Biography

Kate was born in Roanoke, Virginia and lived there until college. She attended North Cross School from Pre-K to 12th grade and graduated from the University of Virginia in 2009, where she double majored in Government and Philosophy.  Kate graduated from Charlotte School of Law in 2012.

Prior to joining the team at KPM LAW’s Roanoke office, Kate worked at the Danville Commonwealth Attorney’s Office where she prosecuted thousands of cases in all three courts, specializing in violent crimes including felonies ranging from murder, armed robbery, abduction, strangulation, sexual assaults involving minors, distribution of narcotics and gang activity. Kate negotiated plea agreements, prepared witnesses for trial, and wrote appellate briefs. She served as the supervising attorney over both District Courts before being promoted to the supervising assistant of Circuit Court.

Kate and her husband have two yellow labs and enjoy playing golf together and traveling.
