
Michele Newman
Biography
Michele Newman's Claim handling career began in 1985 with Aetna Life & Casualty and continued with Connecticut Medical Insurance Company in 1988 and has over 30 years’ experience handling bodily injury and medical professional liability claims and lawsuits. She brings a wealth of experience to her position as Litigation Manager at Hamlin & Burton with a significant record of managing and resolving claims of the highest settlements with the greatest savings based upon fair resolution values.
Ms. Newman graduated from Southern Connecticut State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science. Ms. Newman also earned her Certification in Mediation from the Program on Negotiation at the Harvard Law School in 2006 and in 2011 she achieved her Certification in Claims Litigation Management from Claims & Litigation Management Alliance hosted by Columbia Law School; November of 2015 completed the Program on Negotiation Master Class at the Harvard Law School; has earned her ACP and CCP designations and currently serves as Co-Dean for the School of Mediation at CLM's Claims College.
