Biography
Rob Rider has more than 20 years of experience in insurance coverage with an emphasis in environmental and long-tail claims – claims made for incidents where the harm or injury occurred years after the exposure or circumstance that led to the claim. His expertise also includes evaluating coverage considerations in a wide variety of matters, including professional and health-care liability claims. In this regard, he has handled complex insurance coverage disputes in which he managed numerous attorneys and voluminous documents, and has successfully litigated cases in multiple jurisdictions, including Virginia, the District of Columbia, Maryland, West Virginia, Texas, Connecticut and Massachusetts
Rob is active in community and professional associations and is currently with the Virginia state delegation for the Claims and Litigation Management Alliance, previously having been the state chair for the District of Columbia. His is admitted to the state bars in Virginia, the District of Columbia and Maryland.
Rob has earned an AV® rating from Martindale-Hubbell®, the highest recognition achievable for professional ability and ethics. He received both his B.A. and J.D. from the University of Virginia.
