Insurance fraud is considered to be one of the most costly crimes in the Unites States. The School of Insurance Fraud is designed to inform and educate insurance professionals on how to successfully combat this growing issue. With three levels of instruction, this school is a rigorous and exciting program that will allow participants to enhance, augment and reinforce their knowledge of the tenets of fraud investigations in the areas of auto, property, first party PIP, MED PAY and workers' compensation. Students will learn about fraud schemes and scams and the role of social media in the detection and handling of fraud matters. Ethical and compliance considerations that affect the management of fraud claims will be discussed in all three levels of the School. SIU department and claim professionals seeking to expand their knowledge of fraud and/or those who have 3-8 years in SIU are encouraged to attend. Level 1 includes instructional sessions from top fraud faculty and will focus on SIU issues in auto, property, first-party medical and workers' compensation. In Level 2, participants will engage in more interactive sessions utilizing case studies created from actual SIU cases. Level 3 will allow participants to practice their investigative skills and apply what they have learned to mock fraud claims scenarios.

Upon successful completion of all three levels of the School, graduates will earn the Certified Claims Professional (CCP) in Insurance Fraud designation.
