2022 CLM Annual Conference FAQs

ATTIRE

What is the attire for the conference?
The attire for the Annual Conference is business casual.
What is the attire for dinners?
The attire for both dinners is business casual; however, if you’d like to dress according to theme, feel free to do so. Wednesday night is a Fauxchella Festival, think outdoor music festival (so jeans are appropriate!), and Thursday night is a celebration of our Lifetime Achievement Award winner and the finalists and winners of our Professionals of the Year Awards (so more formal, but still a relaxed atmosphere).

CE/CLE

How are CE/CLE credits issued?
CLM will report your CE/CLE credits (where applicable). Please make sure all your licenses are entered in your CLM profile. If you have further questions regarding CE/CLE, please email Melissa.Rivera@theclm.org.

COVID-19

What are you requiring for entrance to the event regarding COVID-19?
All guests must provide proof of full vaccination OR proof of a negative COVID-19 test result from an antigen test administered within 24 hours of arrival onsite or a PCR test administered within 48 hours of arrival onsite. This proof will be shown to personnel at the event registration desk. More details are available here.
Can I get a COVID-19 test upon arrival?
No. CLM will not be providing onsite tests to allow entrance to the event.
Do I need to wear a mask at this event?
In accordance with the California Department of Public Health mandate, all unvaccinated guests are required to wear a mask covering the nose and mouth when in the indoor meeting spaces and public areas of the event venue. It is recommended that vaccinated guests wear a mask while indoors.

EVENT CHANGES/CANCELLATIONS

If I am unable to attend the conference, will a refund be issued?
All conference registration cancellations must be received in writing via e-mail to Tanya.Stoveall@theclm.org. Please include the reason for your cancellation. NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED AFTER MARCH 1, 2022; however, substitutions are permitted until MARCH 18, 2022.
If I am unable to attend the conference, can I send someone in my place?
All conference registration changes must be received in writing via e-mail to Tanya.Stoveall@theclm.org. Please include the reason for your change. Substitutions (to someone within same company) are permitted until MARCH 18, 2022.
Are optional events (dinners, golf and social events) refundable?
Refunds for optional events will not be issued after March 1, 2022; however, substitutions (to someone within same company) are permitted until March 18, 2022. For optional events changes/cancellations, email Help@theclm.org.
How can I add my guest to dinner?
The cost for each dinner is $100. To add your guest to a dinner, please email Help@theclm.org.

HOTEL

Is hotel cost included in the registration fee?
The cost of the hotel is NOT included in your registration fee. If you made a hotel reservation through the CLM, a credit card will need to be presented upon check-in.
How do I cancel/change my hotel reservation?
Refer to the email confirmation you received from the hotel. You’ll be able to make the changes on your own. If you still have issues, please email Tanya.Stoveall@theclm.org.
Will Wi-Fi be available at the conference hotel?
Wi-Fi will be available in the guest rooms as well as the meeting space.
Are there parking fees at the JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort & Spa?

Valet parking, fee: $40 daily.

On-site parking, fee: $10 hourly, $39 daily.

Electric car charging stations: 12, For a fee $40 daily.

Where do I check in upon arrival to the conference?

Upon arrival, you should make your way to the CLM Registration Desk (follow the signs) in the CLM Solutions Center (Springs Ballroom). There, you will receive your itinerary and other pertinent information.

MATERIALS

Where can I view the conference attendance list?
The attendance list will be posted on the CLM Annual Conference website one month prior to event.
Will conference materials be available online?
All conference materials will be available in the CLM Annual Conference App. Some materials, such as the session handouts and schedule will also available on the CLM Annual Conference website here
What electronic devices are compatible with the CLM app?
IPhone, iPad, Kindle Fire and Android phones and tablets
Where can I find the app?
Download is available for Apple and Android devices within their app stores. Search for “CLM Events” and get started. You will login using your CLM email and password.

TRANSPORTATION

Is transportation provided from the local airport to the hotel?
CLM does not provide transportation to/from hotel. Estimated taxi fare: $50.00 (one way).
How far away is the conference hotel from the Airports?
The JW Marriot Desert Springs is approximately 12 miles from the Palm Springs International Airport (PSP).

PRIVATE EVENTS

Can I host a private gathering for my clients during the Annual Conference?
The CLM Inclusion Policy states that no private events may be hosted during Annual Conference hours. We enacted this policy to foster the development of relationships and exchange of ideas among all attendees. You may not host a private event during the conference hours of:
  • March 23, 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm
  • March 24, 7:30 am to 8:30 pm
  • March 25, 8:00 am to 12:00 pm

Please do not host or accept any invitations to private gatherings during these times. Notify labithia.lee@theclm.org if you have any questions or concerns.
