CONSTRUCTION SITE INJURY

Description

The parties most often exposed to the risk of liability for bodily injuries sustained on a construction site include the project owner, the design professionals, the contractor and their subcontractors performing work on the site. After being notified by an insured of an injury at the construction site, the insurer will examine coverage issues, including effective dates of the policy at issue, coverage of the particular risk involved, and applicable exclusions.  Focusing on Commercial General Liability (CGL) and the Professional Liability policies, this course will analyze policy periods, the types of risk insured, common exclusions, coverage for parties other than the named insured, and how the insurer responds to the insured’s request for defense and indemnification.
